Media, PA family portrait session at Linvilla Orchards – It’s always an honor to photograph another photographer’s family. Actually, it used to be something I was intimidated to take on. I didn’t want the pressure of having someone watch and judge my posing (or lack thereof) and my camera settings. And then I loosened up completely, thank goodness, because photographing other photographers has been an awesome experience! I wish blogs were conducive to show every single image. There were soooo many adorable moments.
But would you like to know a secret? Well, let’s set the stage for you on this beautiful summer night. There’s a golden setting sun in the woods across from us, and through the lens everything looks picture perfect. In real life, though, there’s a black sky camera left and some scary lightning and thunder moving in. And of course, we are all standing at a high elevation in the middle of an open rye field. Eek! So we shot for about 20 minutes, and then decided we risked enough, let’s go take shelter before it gets bad. As we wrapped up one last photo, the rain softly started and we hopped in the car. For about ten minutes we sat side by side in our cars, rolling down the windows to talk about the likelihood of continuing the session post-storm. And then the rain, as if to hasten our decision, poured down. We called it a wrap early, but thankfully still had quite the selection to choose from in those short 20 minutes. Bellina fam, you guys rock. 20 minutes in, out, braving an oncoming storm, and you all played it off beautifully (as if your family could look any other way <3 )
